Patient testimonials
If you are due to undergo a surgical procedure, you may be wondering whether it can be performed on an outpatient basis or whether inpatient admission is required. The decision depends on several factors, including the type of procedure, the patient’s state of health and the aftercare required. As a specialist in surgery in Vienna, I provide comprehensive advice to help find the best treatment option for your individual situation.
Many minor procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis at our Surgery & Endoscopy Centre 1160, including:
Larger operations require inpatient admission to hospital, including:

Surgery is necessary when conservative methods are not sufficient to relieve symptoms, or when health risks are present. As an expert in surgery at Vienna 1160, I will advise you individually on the best treatment options.
Many procedures can now be performed laparoscopically, but not all. Depending on your individual situation, I will discuss the best method with you.
Every operation carries certain risks, which are minimised through modern technology and experience. In a preliminary consultation at Surgery & Endoscopy Centre 1160, I will inform you in detail about the individual risks of the procedure.
Recovery time depends on the procedure. Minimally invasive procedures allow for faster recovery than open surgery. I support you throughout aftercare to ensure optimal recovery.
Depending on the type of procedure, I operate at my practice, Surgery & Endoscopy Centre 1160, or in a hospital. Inpatient procedures take place at Krankenhaus Göttlicher Heiland Wien.
